Jennifer Lopez shows disregard for angry Ben Affleck and has 'fun' with someone new

Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck in August -- and the couple that has never been able to stay away from the spotlight is squarely in the middle of it once again.

Neither Lopez nor Affleck appear to have gotten involved in another serious relationship while they go through the slow-moving divorce process -- complicated by their failure to sign a prenuptial agreement when they married in 2022. Instead, the couple is stealthily "teasing" one another in the tabloids...although Lopez's recent foray into romance might get a rise out of Affleck.

Inside Lopez's flirtation with...her bodyguard!

Recently, Lopez has been seen arm-in-arm with a new bodyguard, who reportedly offers her security when she promotes projects for Amazon -- including her upcoming Affleck-produced film "Unstoppable".

Lopez's motive seems to be two-fold. One, she wants to make Affleck jealous, knowing that his famously short temper will complicate matters for him in the divorce. Second, there is a genuine attraction to the bodyguard, who -- let's face it -- is tall, muscular, and thereby conventionally attractive.

"Jen is not actively dating right now, but that doesn't mean she can't have fun," an insider said. "She's flirting where it's safe to flirt and, of course, she's attracted to this guy, but mostly she knows that it will drive Ben crazy."

Affleck ($150 million) has a lot more to lose in the divorce than Lopez ($400 million) given the gulf in their respective net worths. Lopez, who has been through the divorce process three times already, understands that there is value in being seen by photographers, strutting around with another man...while holding out hope that she can reinvent her public image amid the mess of her fourth marriage.

"She didn't want this divorce, but Ben's always been the type to run from his problems," the insider added. "In her mind, a little flirting will redeem her image - after all, JLo is always the dumper, never the dumpee."
