Jeremy Clarkson has sparked outrage after burning a Donald Trump effigy.
The Clarkson's Farm star, 64, shared an image of a dummy looking a lot like Trump, engulfed in flames at his pub The Farmer's Dog in Oxfordshire.
The effigy was dressed up in a suit and tie and sported Trump's distinctive blonde hair as it sizzled and crackled in the huge flames. Captioning the snap, Jeremy wrote: "Bonfire night at @thefarmersdogpub."
Jeremy shared the image a few hours before it was confirmed Donald Trump had defeated Democrat leader, Kamala Harris, to become the 47th president of the United States.
However, he was slammed on social media, with many accusing the Top Gear star of "losing it". One replied: "Extremely disappointed. At this point Clarkson has clearly lost it. This is absolutely rubbish and astonishing."
Another seemed to be spurred on my the scene as they responded: "Anyway... looking forward to voting for TRUMP today! Thought you supported the working class. We support Trump."
Meanwhile, a third mused: "Wild thing about this is that Trump actually supports farmers. Sigh, this is disappointing."
The showbiz world has been very vocal since the US election results were declared. Riverdale star Lili Reinhart notably took to X, otherwise known as Twitter to express her sympathy for the women, who accused the former The Apprentice star of sexual misconduct.
She wrote: "I cannot fathom the feeling of the women who came forward about their sexual assault at the hands of Trump. Seeing millions of people vote for their abuser. My heart absolutely breaks for these women. I believe you, and I am so sorry." And when a Donald Trump supporter encouraged her to "stay out of politics", she responded with an expletive, writing: "Suck my d**k."
Elsewhere, rapper Cardi B, who recently appeared at Kamala Harris' rally ahead of election day, was devastated on Instagram Live as she reacted to the results, before furiously confronting one of her followers who asked her to attend Donald Trump's inauguration.
Taking to X, she fumed: "I swear to god I'm gonna f**k you up, get away from me! I'm sick of you! Burn your f**king hats motherf****r."
Over on X, however, Elon Musk was pleased to see Trump win the election as he shared a snap on his own account. In this post, the CEO of Tesla Motors can be seen sharing a discussion with the future president as he penned in his caption:T"he future is gonna be so [fire emoji]".
