The Real Housewives of New York alum has confirmed that her daughter, Ally Shapiro, has called off her engagement just two months after the proposal. It’s a heartbreaking update, but we’ve got all of the details on where things went downhill.
Ally Shapiro and Jordan Bilfeld have called it quits
Ally started dating Jordan Bilfeld back in January 2022, and they announced their engagement this September. They threw an engagement party, which Jill supposedly hijacked. Now, they’ve decided to go their separate ways before ever walking down the aisle.
For the past few days, Ally had been dropping hints on TikTok that something had gone wrong with her relationship. In one sappy video, Jill and her boyfriend unpacked boxes in an apartment while sad music played.
“When you don’t realize how much you needed your parents until they drop everything for you,” Ally wrote in the caption.
Of course, Jill wound up confirming Ally’s breakup by issuing a statement to Page Six. She was there when he proposed. She was overly involved in their engagement party. It only makes sense that she’d be involved in the breakup, too.
“After much reflection, [they have] made the difficult decision to end their engagement,” Jill told the outlet. “And as a family, we are focused on supporting [Ally] through this time. We appreciate your understanding and request privacy on this personal matter.”
Meanwhile, insiders told the outlet that their relationship had been doomed from the jump. Allegedly, they were already having issues when they threw their engagement party earlier this fall, but they thought the relationship would “settle down.” Clearly, that didn’t happen.
