Jim Jones has opened up about recently experiencing sobriety for the first time in over three decades, as the unabashed pothead recently had to give up the vice for an extended period.
In a post on social media, the Harlem rep shared how abstaining from marijuana during a recent trip to Tokyo impacted him physically, as he says he’s experienced a boost in energy as a result.
“I been around here bouncing like a kid like I’m in high school,” the Dipset member stated in the clip. “I definitely got that high school feeling.”
Jones continued, adding that he felt spry enough to hit the dance floor at a club for nearly an hour as a result of being sober.
“My body ain’t feel this pure in a minute. I was in the club dancing last night for like 45 minutes straight, sweating.”
However, Capo was quick to clarify that he has no intent on giving up the green leaf anytime soon, but views his experience as a sign of growth and maturation.
“Im addicted lol,” Jones said of his affinity for marijuana. “But at least I know when it’s time for business im disciplined to stop cold Turkey for Whts important.”
The hitmaker’s social media update came on the backend of an excursion to Tokyo, where he met up with Kanye West, who was hard at work on his forthcoming studio album, BULLY.
Capo took time during his trip to shoot a visual for his latest single, “That Sh!t Still in Harlem,” which features a cameo from Ye, who rocks a Diplomats pendant in the clip. The video captures Jones, West, and company roaming the town.
