Kathy Hilton’s Humor Is Desperately Needed in RHOBH Season 14

Like most Real Housewives of Beverly Hills viewers, I was thrilled to see the queen, Kathy Hilton, returning for Season 14. Even though she and her sister, Kyle Richards, have had their squabbles, I think Kathy will be an asset to the group. The trailer showed some dark times ahead for the 90210 women, so a little bit of humor will certainly go a long way, especially if it comes from Kathy.

The group’s matriarch didn’t seem to have a mean bone in her body. Kathy kept her cool even when Lisa Rinna tried to call her out about a Sprinter van meltdown. When watching Kathy on RHOBH, it feels like she is just trying to make the most of an opportunity. And why shouldn’t she? She is Kathy Hilton, after all. I can’t wait to see how the diamond of Beverly Hills tickles our funny bones this time.

Kathy Hilton wowed during her debut season

Even though Kathy’s two daughters have always been the center of attention, it was finally time for the socialite to shine. Season 11 introduced Kathy to viewers as Kyle’s older sister. It is evident that Kathy had no idea what she signed up for with Bravo, but she took to reality TV like a duck to water. Viewers were excited to see how Kathy and Kyle got along, especially after years of reporting that the two were often in feuds. As we saw, life for the sisters was not always easy. And they definitely didn’t agree on everything. But the moment Kathy whipped out the TV trays, Ritz Crackers, and tuna, fans knew they had a star in the making.

For the most part, Kathy was an open book, and her new energy uplifted the group’s dynamics. During her first cast trip, she got confused about how to play Two Lies and a Truth. Instead, she shared three facts about herself, noting she was a hairdresser, dentist, and receptionist. Who would have thought Kathy was such a woman of the people? Frankly, Kathy was the comic relief everyone needed and still needs. So I will down a martini to honor her coming back.

Kathy Hilton doesn’t apologize for who she is

Kathy’s quirky personality compliments everyone in the group. She has a nice bond with Sutton Stracke and can converse pleasantly with Erika Jayne. Fans loved her unwittingly breaking up the fight between Crystal Kung Minkoff and Sutton by asking, “Who is Hunky Dory” after Sutton said she couldn’t pretend all was okay. For the first time, the housewives were left speechless. If this doesn’t prove that Kathy is an icon, I don’t know what will.

And who could forget Kathy’s confusion regarding Dorit Kemsley’s charity, Homeless, not Toothless? First, can we admit that it is a ridiculous name to call your organization? The super awkward name tripped Kathy up as she tried to defuse a solution with the women, and she called it “Toothless and Homeless.” After being scolded, Kathy quickly replied, “Honey, I’m so sorry. I have worked with the homeless. I have worked with the toothless.”

RHOBH Season 14 needs Kathy Hilton

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14 has the women traveling everywhere from Oceanside, CA, Augusta, GA, and St. Lucia. So, with such hectic schedules, the women must take a moment to laugh. Insert Kathy, who just can’t help but stick her foot in it every so often. The sneak peek showed Kathy driving her luxury car, noting, “I feel so elegant,” while wearing a very expensive ~~lampshade~~ hat. But the trailer also showed some intense fighting.

Kyle will be going through her divorce and arguing with her former BFF, Dorit. So, Kathy will most likely need to be a sounding board for her sister during her time of need. Even though Kathy might need to be serious at times, I imagine she will fall back into her jolly, funny girl ways quickly enough. If all else fails, she can invite everyone over for a baked potato and caviar.
