Katie Price has proudly shown off not one, not two, but three brand new hairless pussies that she has collected at her home.

The 46-year-old mum-of-five has sparked fury from animal rights activists over the years by failing to keep pets alive - with dogs, a horse, lizards and more perishing under her care. And now a trio of designer sphinx cats will be hoping they have a full compliment of nine lives each as they have been bought by the reality star.

Taking to social media over the weekend, Katie showed off her new pets - who were huddled together on a fluffy blanket. She captioned the image of the animals with a simple note stating: "My three wrinklies."

The cats in question are believed to be worth approximately £800 each - which is a high sum for someone who is reportedly bankrupt. But Katie may have angered animal fans even more by buying the new pets after so many other pets have died or been given away once she grew tired of caring for them.

Animal rights charity PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) have previously slammed the star and have even launched a petition to try to ban her from owning animals. In the past, they have offered the star £5,000 to stop buying pets, which she has reportedly not accepted. PETA UK founder Ingrid Newkirk told The Sun: "If there was a way to file an injunction to stop this serial animal killer, PETA would do so, as this woman doesn’t care about the lives she wastes or listen to vital advice and is still treating live animals like stuffed toys: as disposable.

"If William Hill took totally tasteless bets, the odds would favour those betting on how little time this kitten has on Earth, given the hideous track record of animal deaths in Price’s custody. No one could call it 'care'.”

A Change.org petition was previously launched in light of the news that five dogs and a horse had all died over the course of six years. Her German Shepherd, Blade, another dog named Sharon, and a third called Sparkle were all killed on the A24, close to her East Sussex home. Another dog named Queenie was run over by a pizza delivery van, and a French bulldog named Rolo suffocated to death after being trapped under a chair. A horse also died after running onto the road near her home and being hit by a lorry - while a cat was also put down in recent weeks. But Katie's menagerie of animals continues to expand with the addition of her Sphynx kitten - which reportedly cost £800.

Katie had to have her last cat put down just a few weeks ago. She had only had Frog for around five months when he developed an incurable neurological disease.
