Katie Price has been left "worried sick" over a life-threatening surgery.
The former glamour model, 46, heartbreakingly shared how both her mum and step-dad have been admitted to hospital in the past month. Her mum Amy has a terminal lung disease idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), which she was diagnosed with in 2017. She has received a lung transplant but Katie explained that her mum's health has been "up and down".
In February, Amy was rushed to hospital after a burst cyst was discovered. Katie revealed her mum was taken to hospital again for three weeks, but is on the mend. The mum-of-five also shared how her stepdad Paul - who she refers to as a dad and has a close relationship with - had received surgery.
"My mum’s doing well - she was in hospital for 21 days," she told fans in a recent TikTok post. "My dad’s just had a major heart operation… you’ve got to look after them when they get old. So there’s a lot going on behind the scenes." It has been claimed Katie has been "worried sick" about Paul.

Daily Mirror)"Paul's had life-threatening heart surgery and the recovery is really intense," a source told Closer magazine. "Naturally, Katie has been worried sick. The operation went well but the recovery journey is long and she's been praying that he will be ok." Katie has a close relationship with Paul, 61, and once described him as the "father figure I've had through thick and thin."
Paul has walked Katie down the aisle at her weddings after her biological dad Ray walked out when she was four. Katie's mum Amy was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), with a life expectancy of three to five years in 2017. She has since had a lung transplant but has explained her health has still been "up and down".
Speaking on podcast, The Katie Price Show earlier this year, Katie said: "Mum ended up at the hospital because she had a burst cyst from an ultrasound." Sister Sophie added: "I had to take mum to A&E. The hospital were really good actually, we went to Medway hospital. Took mum up to A&E because she had a burst cyst, I think it was, but she is all fine. She had an ultra-sound the other week and they burst it basically by accident. So we spent about six hours at A&E."
Katie has previously shared her fears of losing her mum as she said: "My mum is my absolute rock, my absolute best friend. To be told she’s got an incurable breathing disease breaks my heart. Sadly, she hasn’t got long left to live." Amy thought she was in her "final year" in 2022. "I could hardly breathe, walking was difficult, I was on oxygen more or less 24 hours [a day]. When I was offered a transplant I just jumped at it," she told The Sun.
