Bianca Censori, renowned for her bold and unconventional fashion choices, shocked viewers at the 67th Grammy Awards by stepping out in a completely see-through dress.
The 30-year-old accompanied her husband, Kanye West, who was nominated for two awards and dressed in a casual all-black outfit of a t-shirt, jeans, sneakers, and dark sunglasses. However, it was Bianca who stole the spotlight when she removed her black fluffy coat, revealing a sheer, skin-tight mesh slip dress leaving little to the imagination.
With her hair pulled back, the daring outfit exposed every inch of her body, sparking controversy and even raising questions about potential legal repercussions.
Under California Penal Code 314(1), indecent exposure is defined as intentionally displaying one’s naked body or genitals in a way that could offend or annoy others. The law specifies the act must be both "wilful and lewd" to constitute a crime, requiring proof of intent to attract attention or cause offense or sexual gratification. Reports from the US Mirror suggest some critics believe Bianca’s choice of attire could fall within this definition.
A first-time offender under this law could face up to six months in jail or a fine of £800. Repeat offenses carry harsher penalties, including potential state prison time and registration as a sex offender for up to ten years.

Beyond the legal implications, Bianca’s provocative look ignited a firestorm on social media. One user tweeted, "Kanye and that lady should be arrested for that stunt on the red carpet… #GRAMMYs."
Another expressed frustration: "Every single time I see Kanye’s wife naked, it’s against my will." A third questioned the event’s policies: "Kanye’s wife is fully naked… does this event not have a dress code? #GRAMMYs." Meanwhile, another user outright condemned the pair, writing, "Kanye West and Bianca Censori at Grammys. Completely disgusting. #Grammys #Kanye."
The red carpet controversy came ahead of live performances by notable nominees, including Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Janelle Monáe, Stevie Wonder, Lady Gaga, and Sabrina Carpenter.
This year’s Grammys faced uncertainty due to the Los Angeles wildfires, which had cast doubt on whether the event could proceed. However, California Governor Gavin Newsom gave the green light, and the show featured a reimagined format, including a more subdued red carpet.
While Bianca’s outfit has undoubtedly become one of the night’s most talked-about moments, the fallout from her bold fashion statement continues to divide public opinion.
