Khloé Kardashian has thanked firefighters and those tackling the devastating LA fires.

Fires are continuing to tear across parts of Los Angeles, threatening areas included Calabasas, Hidden Hills and Montecito. So far, 16 people have died in the California wildfires, with a further 16 people currently missing. Additionally, more than 10,000 homes have been destroyed, with multiple people displaced as they were forced to evacuate ahead of the worsening fires.

Last week, the Mirror revealed that Kim Kardashian and her family including Khloé, sister Kourtney, brother Rob, Kris Jenner, Kyle Jenner and Kendall had been forced to evacuate their homes due to ongoing fears surrounding the fires. Over the past days, Khloé has been very vocal about helping those who are fighting the fires, as well as those who have been displaced due to the disaster.

Taking to Instagram in view of her 304 million followers, the businesswoman has now shared another message of support for those helping the ongoing efforts. She said: "Dear Firefighters, volunteers, First Responders, and Frontline workers, Thank you for your unwavering courage and dedication in the face of these devastating fires. Your tireless efforts to protect lives, homes, and communities do not go unnoticed.

"We are deeply grateful for your bravery, compassion, and commitment to attempting to keeping Californians safe. Please know that your work is truly appreciated by all of us. I pray for your safety and strength as you continue to serve. May God watch over you and your loved ones, granting you protection and peace during this challenging time."

It comes after her sister, Kim was slammed for reportedly fined by The Oaks authorities for using 232,000 gallons of water more than her allocation after local authorities put in strict measures back in 2022. Now, Kim has put special measures in place to preserve water when watering the gardens surrounding her mega-mansion.

"These celebrities have a sense of entitlement," a source told the Mail. They went on to add: "Everyone was told to cut back on water precisely for this situation, to preserve it to fight fires. They carried on watering because they could afford the fines." Despite this, Kim has spoken out, demanding that firefighters receive higher wages.

In a lengthy statement, she said: "I have spent the last week watching my city burning. And have seen and spoken to many firefighters who are up all night long using every ounce of their strength to save our community. Thank you to @calfire LA County Fire and Los Angeles City Fire for everything you are doing to save lives, homes and property. On all 5 fires in Los Angeles, there are hundreds of incarcerated firefighters, risking their lives to save us. They are on the Palisades fire and Eaton fire in Pasadena working 24 hour shifts.

"They get paid almost nothing, risk their lives, some have died, to prove to the community that they have changed and are now first responders. I see them as heroes." It's believed that over 1,000 prisoners are helping the battle to fight the LA fires, wearing orange jumpsuits as they work alongside the Cal Fire employees.

"The incarcerated firefighters have been paid $1/hour to risk their lives, and this pay has been the same since 1984. It has never been raised with inflation. It's never been raised when fires got worse and many died," she added. Kim, who has used her platform and law school career to fight for justice went on to say: "This year there was an agreement to raise the incarcerated firefighters pay to $5/hour, but it got shot down last minute. I am urging @cagovernor to do what no Governor has done in 4 decades and raise the incarcerated firefighter pay to a rate that honours a human being risking their lives to save our lives and homes."
