Liam Payne's father Geoff Payne has honoured his late son at the Casa Sur Hotel where the devastating incident occurred.
The grief-stricken dad was seen amidst a crowd of mourners gathered to pay homage to the former One Direction star.
It was reported that Liam suffered a fall from a height of approximately 13 or 14 metres, resulting in"very serious injuries incompatible with life.”
Argentinian authorities said that Geoff also visited the Buenos Aires morgue to identify his son’s body before heading to the local prosecutor's office to organise the repatriation of his son's remains.
He later collected his son's belongings from the hotel, where crowds had been gathered for the third straight day to pay their respects.
During his visit, Geoff paused at the makeshift memorial, leaning down to pick up a photo of Liam before thanking everyone and disappearing into the hotel.
This is the first time that any of the 31-year-old’s family members have been seen publicly since the star's sudden death.
On Thursday, the Payne family released a statement that they “are heartbroken,” just hours after his death.
It read: “Liam will forever live in our hearts and we’ll remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul.
“We are supporting each other the best we can as a family and ask for privacy and space at this awful time.”
One Direction has been united in grief following the untimely demise of their bandmate, Liam.
The remaining members signed their statement, "Louis, Zayn, Niall and Harry", as they broke their silence in a deeply emotional group statement.
They wrote: “We're completely devastated by the news of Liam's passing. In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say.
“But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly."
"The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us. We will miss him terribly. We love you Liam."
