Women’s Guild Cedars-Sinai is finalizing the program for its upcoming Enchanted Ball — set to take place at the Beverly Wilshire, a Four Season Hotel in Beverly Hills on Nov. 21 — by zeroing in on a roster of honorees that includes Lionel Richie.

The music legend and American Idol judge has been tapped to receive a Hollywood Icon Award while Daniele Worth Ochoa and Arthur J. Ochoa will receive the Humanitarian Award. The event will also feature a performance by Grammy Award winner Seal with emcee duties being handled by Brooke Burke. Funds raised will be funneled toward the Neurology Project and the distinguished chair in pediatrics at Cedars-Sinai Guerin Children’s.

Women’s Guild has raised more than $70 million for Cedars-Sinai across a variety of projects. The organization recently completed a $10 million dollar campaign for the Women’s Guild Neurology Project, whose efforts have propelled treatment with Parkinson’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and Alzheimer’s disease. The group has committed to raising another $5 million for neurology and Cedars-Sinai’s expansion of Guerin Children’s where they will endow a $5 million distinguished chair in pediatrics to Dr. Shervin Rabizadeh.

In addition to his well-documented, and record breaking music career, Richie serves as chairman of the global ambassador group for the Prince’s Trust and founder of the Lionel Richie Foundation. He has raised millions for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, City of Hope and the Muhammed Ali Parkinson Center, UNICEF and Art of Elysium. On the work front, Richie produced and appears in the Netflix documentary The Greatest Night in Pop. Richie continues a longtime residency in Las Vegas, now at the Encore Theater in Wynn Las Vegas.

Arthur J. Ochoa serves as a senior vp of advancement and chief advancement officer at Cedars-Sinai since 2001.  Prior to joining Cedars, he practiced transactional and tax law for individual, corporate and nonprofit clients. The USC and Yale Law School graduate began his career as an advocate and policy analyst in Washington D.C. and is a past board chair of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, Planned Parenthood Los Angeles, and Marlborough School and Center for Early Education.

Daniele Ochoa is a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. She previously designed a fashion forward line that was featured in Women’s Wear Daily. A graduate of Parsons School of Design, she is a leader in the community and serves as an executive vp of Women’s Guild Cedars-Sinai. In 2015 she received Women’s Guild’s Evelyn Clayburgh Award for her service.
