Actor Lisa Faulkner has teased that she was warned ahead of her latest role airing next month.
Lisa, 52, is among the cast of Netflix's Missing You, which is based on the Harlan Coben novel of the same name. The show, which will be released on January 1, follows detective Kat Donovan (played by Rosalind Eleazar) who "matches on a dating app with the fiancé who disappeared years before".
Cast member Lisa, who plays the character Dana Fells, shared her excitement over the show in an interview with the Express. She however teased that she had been warned by the streaming platform not to give too much away.
She said in the interview: "I'm really excited about it. I don't know what else I'm allowed to say because it's quite scary working for Netflix because they say, 'no, you can't say this and you can't say that'. But yeah, I'm really excited."
The cast member praised the scripts for Missing You, with her saying: "[They] are brilliant. I have a small part, but I am really excited about doing it." Lisa added about the show: "The book is really good, and I think the series will be brilliant."
Lisa - who has previously appeared in shows like Holby City and EastEnders - said that pursuing acting roles is "easier" now that her daughter Billie, 18, is older. She said: "I really want to keep acting. As my daughter gets older, it's easier to be able to go out and do stuff so it is really exciting."

The outlet reports that whilst at the Ideal Home Show, presenter John shared excitement over Lisa venturing back into acting. The MasterChef judge said of his wife: "It's great that Lisa is getting to go back and do what she loves."
The novel Missing You was released by author Harlan in 2014. It's the latest of his works to be turned into a Netflix series, following previous examples like Fool Me Once. The limited series will launch on the platform on New Year's Day.
The show's cast is led by Slow Horses star Rosalind, whose character is said to spot her former fiancé Josh Buchanan (Ashley Walters) on a dating app, despite him having disappeared years earlier. His "reappearance forces her to dive back into" a mystery from her past, a synopsis teases. The cast also includes the likes of Richard Armitage, Jessica Plummer, Sir Lenny Henry and Steve Pemberton.
