Blusher is having a serious makeup moment right now, and has become one of the most reached for items in our beauty bags when it comes to finishing off our makeup. It’s perfect for giving your skin a subtle rosy glow that makes you look like you’ve spent all afternoon outside in the chilly autumn air, all without ever having to head out in the cold.

If you want to amp up your autumnal glow, Louise Thompson has shared her new favourite makeup product that’s perfect for nailing the look. She shared a video of her makeup routine which included the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Luminous Powder Blush, £26, saying: “This blusher/highlighter combo is DISGUSTINGLY good.”

The Rare Beauty Blush combines a subtle pink colour payoff with a glowy highlighter to create the ultimate glowy flush for your skin. Louise added that she’d opted for the shade Happy, which has a slight peachy undertone, although you can choose from six different colours with hues spanning from more beige-toned through to deep red to suit all skin tones.

Each shade has a subtle glow to it, so you don’t need to worry about layering highlighter over the top, and leaves your skin looking dewy and luminous without appearing shiny. The powder formula is lightweight and has a silky texture that feels comfortable to wear and is easy to blend.

It also gives a more natural and flattering look, blending seamlessly into your skin for a flawless finish. Louise showed off the effect on her skin, including a close up of the powder blush on her cheeks which showed how well it blurs into your natural skin texture for a natural look.

The silky powder formula is also buildable, so you can create a unique look that suits your skin type and complements your makeup look of choice. A single sweep of the Rare Beauty Blush will create a subtle wash of colour, or you can build it up for a bolder look by adding layers of the product or combining two different colours for a bespoke shade.

Although Rare Beauty’s Soft Pinch Luminous Powder Blush has gotten Louise’s seal of approval, we’re also a big fan of By Terry’s Brightening CC Palette Sunny Flash, which retails for £50 and includes four different glowy blush shades. The palette is a brightening powder, colour corrector and cheek highlighter in one, with a skincare-infused formula that helps illuminate your skin and create a natural-looking glow whilst correcting dullness.

For a more budget-friendly pick, the Milani Baked Blush retails for £11.75 and comes in six different pink-toned shades and come in satin and shimmery finishes that are amazing for adding a subtle glow and highlight to your skin. Just like Rare Beauty’s, the Milani blushers are highly pigmented and buildable, so you can create a totally unique look that suits your skin.
