The football club that All Stars bombshell Montel McKenzie is signed to has now addressed his return to Love Island.
Montel, 27, first appeared on the ITV2 show in the summer of 2023 but it was announced earlier this week that he will make his return on spin-off All Stars. He's one of the latest bombshells to enter the villa, joining Harriett Blackmore.
Fans are set to see the two former islanders head into the villa in South Africa on Thursday night's episode after being teased the previous evening. Ahead of the episodes release, Billericay Town F.C. have issued a statement on footballer Montel having left the UK for the reality TV opportunity.
Right-back Montel signed with the club, based in Essex, last year. He has been part of the squad since the signing was announced in August and the club's now revealed that he wouldn't have been playing for them at the moment anyway because he's off for up to six weeks due to an injury.
In a joint post with Montell on Instagram, Billericay Town told fans: "The Club can now confirm Montel McKenzie will be appearing on 'Love Island All Stars' for the next couple of weeks. He is currently out for four to six weeks due to injury so has decided to return to the television arena." The club concluded in the post on Thursday: "Best of luck, Montel."
It comes after Love Island announced Montell's return to the villa on Wednesday. His arrival was teased in a preview at the end of the episode and was confirmed in a post that read: "Bringing his cheeky side to the All Stars villa, Montel from series 10 is hoping to find a girl that ticks all his boxes."

Sharing his favourite thing about being on the show, he teased: "Not having to worry about anything else going on - all you have to do is wake up and think about the girl you're trying to talk to, or the girl you're coupled up with."
Montell was in the villa in Majorca for three weeks when he first appeared on Love Island. He lived alongside the likes of Jess Harding and Sammy Root, who went on to be named the winning couple of the tenth series in the final.
He was himself coupled-up with Leah Taylor throughout his time on the show in 2023. They ended up leaving the villa together when they were dumped from the island. It was announced weeks later that they had parted ways.
