Lucy Liu turned heads at the “Red One” Berlin premiere on Sunday, looking beautiful in a sculptural Zuhair Murad gown. She borrowed the look from the fall 2024 couture collection runway, which featured lots of “shard-like adornments,” as per WWD. The collection was meant to capture an individual’s inner torment, thus incorporating embroidery resembling explosions. The star’s gown also incorporated this element. A crystal-encrusted explosion decorated the looped detailing at the front of the gown.

Liu’s black mermaid gown also featured a dramatic train. While the outfit’s silhouette was eye-catching, the bodice amped up the drama. It included an intricate sculptural looped detailing made out of net material. Moreover, a crystal-embedded explosion highlighted the ornate appliqué. The stunning bodice resembled a blast, with a dazzling center and black looped detailing intertwining with each other.

To complete the look, Lucy Liu paired her gown with Roxanne Assoulin jewelry and Tamara Mellon footwear. She kept her hair and makeup quite minimalistic. Enzo Angileri styled her tresses into an elegant chignon, similar to the look from the runway. However, Angileri incorporated floral detailings into her hairstyle to soften the look. While she went with a soft glam for her makeup, the rose pink lip shade added a hint of color to the otherwise monochromatic look. The actor was styled by Sarah Slutsky Tooley, who often works with Jessica Williams and Rachel Zegler.
