Darts star Luke Littler has amassed such a huge net worth for himself that he's now renting a luxurious mansion.
This year has been unforgettable for the frighteningly talented 17-year-old. Littler announced himself on the world stage at Alexandra Palace as he reached the final of the World Darts Championship on his debut and has since climbed the ranks of the sport in fast fashion.
He has accumulated a hefty fortune, thought to be in the region of £700,000, and is on his way to joining the millionaire's club. To celebrate, the Runcorn native has moved into a stunning house on 'Millionaire's Row' in Cheshire.
In what is possibly his biggest extravagance to date, Littler has relocated himself and his family into the five-bedroom abode, costing him an incredible £6,000-a-month. It was revealed earlier this month that the current World Series of Darts champion had swapped his family's £180,000 two-bedroom residence in Warrington for the eye-catching new house.
Fitted with an indoor swimming pool and in a quaint suburb of Littler's hometown, the home's entrance alone boasts electric gates, generous parking space, and state-of-the-art CCTV. Inside there is an open-plan kitchen and huge dining area.
Then comes the stunning 36ft by 33ft indoor swimming pool, accompanied by a projector, reclining chairs, and bi-fold doors onto a patio. The description of the property, as per the Daily Mail, describes the property as 'finished to an uncompromising standard, with intelligent design, impressive technology, top-of-the-range fixtures and fittings and superb leisure facilities.
'Fully renovated in recent years, the property has been carefully and cleverly redesigned to optimise and enhance space, creating a perfect balance of luxury finish and ease of living.'
If 'ease of living' is what he's looking for then the darts sensation is on the right path. Littler's current net worth may be a staggering amount of money for someone not even 18 years old, but that figure is rising by the week.
Should he continue his impressive form, then he is expected to top the one million mark and never look back. Fellow darts supremo and 1994 world champion Dennis Priestley has predicted that if Littler stays the course and continues his dominance, he'll eventually have a net worth greater than Manchester United icon David Beckham.
"Luke Littler is still so young, and his career could go one way or the other,” Priestley told host Wayne Mardle on his Club 501 YouTube channel. "I just hope he's surrounding himself with the right people who will keep him grounded. If they can do that and he can remain at the top of his game for 10 or so years, then he’ll be worth more than David Beckham."
On the two-year rolling PDC Order of Merit, Littler is now up to 20th spot with £397,500 of official ranking tournament cash against his name, the rest is coming from sponsorships and TV appearances. His winnings also include the £200,000 cheque for losing 7-4 to Luke Humphries in the final of the World Championship at Ally Pally.
It also contains £15,000 for reaching the quarter-finals of the UK Open, the FA Cup of Darts, and £15,000 for winning his first-ever ProTour Players Championship, as per The Sun. Littler also overcame Rob Cross 8-7 in the final of the Belgian Darts Open on his debut on the PDC European Tour and earned himself £30,000.
In addition, Littler picked up £20,000 for triumphing at the Bahrain Darts Masters in January and £10,000 for making the final of the Dutch Darts Masters. The teenager is also one of eight stars involved in the Premier League, a 17-week road show that takes in seven countries.
He is guaranteed a minimum of £60,000 for just being involved. But his victories in the league have seen him net £40,000, while £275,000 is on offer for the winner of the league.
