Married at First Sight UK groom Kieran dropped a devastating bombshell during tonight's episode (October 30), leaving his bride and the other couples around the dinner table in tears.
In scenes that aired on Wednesday night, the couples were all instructed to write anonymous letters to each other offering guidance and words of support for their respective relationships.
Couple Kieran and Kristina, once one of the show's strongest partnerships, have faced struggles in their marriage in recent episodes, with fans of the pair witnessing Kieran struggle to pinpoint his true feelings for his bride.
At the table, Kristina doubled down on her feelings for Kieran, assuring him she was not like his past partners which had been a source of concern for the former clown. "I can see the potential with us," she said as she turned to face him. "I can see me, in whatever time you need, moving to Newcastle - I'll make that f****** journey for you, because I care about you and I see potential with you."
Continuing the declaration of her feelings, Kristina continued: "I have fought for you from day one. We have so much respect for each other. We've got that fire and electric between us and I don't think I can let that go."
Despite her emotional speech, Kieran then made the sad confession that he wasn't sure if their relationship could be anything more than a friendship, which brought his already emotional bride - and the other couples around the table - to tears.
"There's no one in the world like you," Kieran began. "I know my head's all over the place and I know I'm potentially risking losing one of the best women that I could ever wish for, and that's one of the hardest things to admit to myself."
"I'm not going to lead you on because I do care about you," he continued as his voice began to crack. "I'm only getting emotional because I really, really care about Kristina.
"At the minute, I'm in that grey area where I'm thinking is this a friendship, or is this more? All I can do is be honest with you. But I'm really, really grateful and thankful for everything."
The confession left the other couples in stunned silence, with Kieran later shown sobbing in the corner of the room with his glass in hand after telling the cameras: "I need to work out whether this can be more than friendship."
