The Wanted star Max George has shared a huge update following his recent life-saving operation.
The singer, 36, has taken to Instagram to show off a huge scar on his shoulder after he was forced to undergo emergency surgery amid a terrifying health scare. Max spent weeks in the hospital before Christmas after doctors discovered an irregularity with his heart.
After being hospitalised, he broke the news to his girlfriend, Maisie Smith, 23, about what was happening while she was preparing to go on stage for work in Kent.
The singer shared updates with his fans on social media throughout the entire process and detailed how he had a pacemaker fitted in a surgery that took two and a half hours. Thankfully, after the successful surgery, he was able to return home right before Christmas.

The Wanted star didn’t write anything alongside the update after sharing the first look at his scar with fans following their incredible support over the past number of weeks.
His girlfriend Maisie helped him with his recovery and stuck by his side throughout the entire process. In his first interview since leaving surgery, the musician revealed he wrote a will on his iPhone while at the hospital. He explained: "That first night I wrote a will, I thought I was going to die."
Speaking to The Sun , he added: "If I could go from being absolutely on top of the world to being told ‘the bottom part of your heart isn’t working’, I kept thinking in my head, ‘Well, what if the top half stops working overnight?’" He went on to explain how the gravity of the situation made him realise "what your responsibilities are"

This week, Max took to his Instagram page to share a photo of himself walking slowly on a treadmill before he panned the camera to his face and gave fans a thumbs up. The star seemed determined as he focused on his health.
It comes after Max rang in the New Year by posting a series of photos from his eventful year that included him performing on stage, his surgery scar, cuddles with soap star girlfriend Maisie and a snap from his hospital bed - where he said he was the youngest person by 30 years.
Alongside the images, Max emotionally shared with his 391,000 followers on Instagram: "2024... Certainly a year I won’t forget! So lucky to have the life that I have. I can’t wait for the next chapter, no matter what challenges lie ahead. I wish everyone an amazing night tonight.. and that 2025 brings you good health and the best year!"
