Miley Cyrus was joined by her mom, Tish Cyrus, for her big night at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
The mother-daughter duo was in great spirits at the star-studded event, which was held on Sunday, February 2, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, following public family drama involving Miley’s dad and Tish’s ex-husband, Billy Ray Cyrus.
Miley, 32, and her mom, 57, both wore black monochromatic looks, with the “Used To Be Young” singer clad in a black leather Saint Laurent halter dress that she paired with gold bangles and matching strappy heels. Her stylist, Bob Recine, revealed he used Nexxus haircare on her double banged ‘do. Tish, on the other hand, stunned in a sheer, striped long-sleeve maxi dress as she supported her famous daughter.
The pop star and Beyoncé took home the prize for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for their duet “II Most Wanted” from Bey’s Grammy-winning Cowboy Carter album.
“Congratulations @mileycyrus and @beyonce on their well-deserved @recordingacademy Grammy wins!,” Billy Ray, 63, wrote on Instagram, adding, “Couldn’t be prouder!!!” Miley won a Grammy for her country prowess even before her dad did.
This marked Miley’s third Grammy win as she previously earned the awards for 2024 Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance with her hit “Flowers.”
Billy Ray shared his congratulatory message after sparking concern for his overall health following his performance at a presidential inaugural ball, which faced technical difficulties on January 20.
“I wouldn’t have missed the honor of playing this event whether my microphone, guitar and monitors worked or not. I was there because President Donald J. Trump invited me,” he told People in a statement. “I had a ball at the Liberty Ball last night and I’ve learned through all these years when the producer says, ‘You’re on,’ you go entertain the folks even if the equipment goes to hell. I was there for the people and we had a blast. That’s called rock n roll!!!”
Miley’s brother Trace Cyrus later took to Instagram with a message directed at Billy Ray, expressing concern about his well-being.
“Me and the girls have been genuinely worried about you for years but you’ve pushed all of us away,” Trace, 35, wrote on January 22. “Noah desperately has wanted you to be a part of her life and you haven’t even been there for her. That’s your baby girl. She deserves better. Somehow just like me she still idolizes you though.”
Billy Ray adopted Trace and his sister, Brandi Cyrus, after tying the knot with Tish in 1993. Tish and Billy Ray also share biological kids Miley, Braison Cyrus and Noah
Cyrus, whom the former couple welcomed before they divorced in 2022. The rocker is also dad to Christopher Cyrus with ex Kristin Luckey.
“Dad, my message was beyond loving,” Trace followed up in a January 26 plea. “I could have been extremely honest about a lot more but I don’t want to put your business out there like that. For you to threaten me with legal action for wanting you to get help is a disgrace.”
Billy Ray’s ex-wife Firerose (real name: Johanna Rosie Hodges) also weighed in on the family rift, claiming that “what’s being seen in public now reflects much of what I experienced in private during our relationship.”
Meanwhile, Braison, 30, told People that he doesn’t have “any bad feelings toward anyone in my family.”
