Miranda Hart made a rare appearance on our screens this Saturday as she paid her pal and former Miranda co-star Sarah Hadland a visit in the Strictly Come Dancing training room.
The actress, 53, and her professional partner Vito Coppola were back in the ballroom this Saturday, November 2, 2024, as they faced the BBC One show's first ever Icons Week and danced a Madonna-inspired Cha Cha to the Queen of Pop's hit, Like A Prayer.
But during her week of training, as shown ahead of the pair's performance this Saturday evening, Sarah Hadland jokingly admitted that, unlike Vito, she wasn't "feeling like Madonna" - until her long-term pal Miranda Hart paid her a surprise visit in the Strictly training room.

BBC)"I'm here at Sarah and Vito's training room so like all great choreographers, I'm wearing a black turtle neck and carrying a small dog with me. So here I am", Miranda announced before walking into the room to a stunned Sarah. However, the pair weren't able to catch up until after Sarah and Vito had showed her their choreography for the week. Later on, Miranda told Vito she was "grateful" he was "looking after her friend."
As TV fans will know, Sarah starred as Stevie on the BBC series Miranda, alongside her friend, who portrayed the eponymous protagonist. The programme was first released on BBC Two and ran from 2009 to 2015. Miranda's final scenes were played out in two Christmas specials, with the series' last episode airing on News Year's Day in 2015.
Many viewers took to Twitter, now X, to share their thoughts after the emotional reunion. "Miranda and Stevie reunited I’m gonna cry", "Me when Miranda turned up to see Sarah and Vito during their dance session/rehearsal", "still makes me so happy seeing miranda and sarah together again", some of them commented.
Miranda's surprise appearance comes after she caught up with The One Show's Alex Jones and Alex Scott for the first time since the last episode of her beloved series was aired.
This led Miranda to open up about her struggle with Lyme disease, as she documents it in her latest work, as she revealed she'd been diagnosed with the condition during her time away from the limelight.
But moments after talking about her struggle, Miranda dropped another bombshell on the co-hosts as they teased a major event had taken place while she was away. "Well I can now swap this ring to the other side and say someone put a ring on it", she said, sliding a ring on her left ring finger to confirm she'd tied the knot.
Elsewhere on Strictly Come Dancing, Amy Dowden also made an unexpected appearance in the ballroom after it was confirmed she would not be dancing with JB Gill this week.
The Welsh professional dancer appeared in the Clauditorium alongside JB and his stand-in professional Lauren Oakley as the trio spoke about their week of training. Later on, when JB and Lauren earned a near-perfect score of 39, Amy fought back proud tears.
