MTV EMAs: Maya Jama and Olly Alexander lead stars showing off style on red carpet

Celebrities including Molly Marsh and Tyla have started arriving on the red carpet of the EMAs at Co-op Live in Manchester

Stars are hitting the red carpet for the European Music Awards - with Gemma Atkinson and Jedward among the first to arrive.

Pop icon Rita Ora is hosting the event, which is being held at Co-op Live in Manchester. This year's EMAs nominees are led by Taylor Swift, with seven mentions within the shortlist. Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Charli XCX and Sabrina Carpenter are also amongst some of the top nominees this year.

There is also set to be a special tribute to former One Direction member Liam Payne during the show. Among the stars walking the EMAs red carpet are Love Island star Molly Marsh, "Water" singer Tyla and TV presenter Maya Jama.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News earlier this week, host Rita Ora said she was excited to capture the spirit of Manchester with the big-scale show. She said: "I'm really happy it's in Manchester, I'm genuinely excited. We're just trying to bring the history and energy of Manchester into the arena."

The 2024 MTV EMA will broadcast live on MTV and other streaming platforms in more than 150 countries.
