Horror enthusiasts are being encouraged to head to their local cinema to catch a newly released film that 'messes with your mind'.
The film, Heretic, hit UK cinemas just last week and has already garnered high praise from viewers.
Now also showing in US venues, the film has sparked an influx of online reviews and reactions.
Penned by the writers of the original A Quiet Place, it features Hugh Grant in an uncharacteristic role as Mr Reed.
The cast also includes Sophie Thatcher as Sister Barnes, Chloe East as Sister Paxton, Topher Grace as Elder Kennedy and Elle Young as Prophet, reports the Mirror.
The plot centres on two missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints who attempt to convert a Scottish man.
Their mission, however, turns out to be far more perilous than they had imagined, resulting in dire consequences for all involved as they become embroiled in a lethal game of cat-and-mouse.
The film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and was released in the UK in time for Halloween, with its US release following on November 8.
At the time of writing, it holds a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics praising Grant's 'infectious fun playing against type' and one verified reviewer noting that it 'messes with your mind'.
The film has elicited strong reactions from the audience, with one viewer sharing feedback on the site: "Definitely keeps you at the edge of your seat the entire movie. Never seen Hugh Grant in such a role and was pretty powerful acting by all."
Another moviegoer offered their insight: "Thought-provoking. Somewhere between Saw, Cube, and 10 Cloverfield Lane, wrapped in a 'crisis of faith' theme. Come for the psychological thriller, stay for the philosophical killer. Excellent performances/directing. Much like the titular antagonist, the film manages to hold a microscope up to religion while giving us challenging choices to make."
One particular fan commended A24, the studio responsible for the film's release, claiming they 'knocked it out the park again'.
Meanwhile, another commentator spotlighted Hugh Grant's performance, suggesting that 'Hollywood has done a disservice to Hugh Grant'.
Highlighting his capabilities, they remarked: "Based on this performance, he clearly should have been given more antagonist roles. He chews up dialogue like Denzel in Training Day and easily layers on tension and malice. Fantastic."
Heretic is showing in cinemas now.
