Tuesday night’s echoes of 2016 made some on social media wonder if Maya Rudolph, who has been portraying Vice President Kamala Harris on the long-running comedy show, would take a seat at the piano.

If she is in this week’s episode, which is being hosted by Bill Burr, it will undoubtedly be top secret until 11:30 p.m. Saturday night.
HuffPost reached out to NBC to see if Rudolph will continue to portray Harris this season, but no one immediately responded.
However, many were adamant that the show not take the same approach as it did in 2016.

Others tried to forecast Rudolph choosing a more relevant tune for 2024.

Meanwhile, others were just bummed Rudolph wouldn’t get to provide comic relief on SNL for the next four to eight years.

Has anyone checked on Maya Rudolph? She may be the biggest loser of the 2024 election.
She goes from a regular gig impersonating Kamala Harris on SNL for the next 4-8 years to she basically getting fired yesterday.
