Peter Andre has given a devastating update on his mum’s health as she continues to battle Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.

The Mysterious Girl singer revealed in February that Thea, 88, was ‘rapidly declining’ which was upsetting as he is incredibly close to his family.

After an exciting few months, including welcoming his newborn daughter Arabella in April, he gave an update on his mum.

Her decline has continued and Peter has now confessed how it is now ‘harder and harder’ to see her ‘like this’.

The 51-year-old star shared a short video on Instagram of himself next to Thea, who was in bed covered in blankets, cosied up to her looking calm.

‘Just me and mama, sitting here, linked arms. Just chilling,’ he said as the pair smiled together.

In the caption, the TV personality added: ‘Love you mum. It’s getting harder and harder to see you like this.

‘I cherish every moment I have with you ♥️.’

Parkinson’s is a progressive brain condition that impacts mental function and physical ability, as well as other health issues.

This combined with Alzheimer’s, which also impacts brain function, means daily tasks — even eating and drinking — become impossible.

Peter has previously shared how difficult it is as his parents live in Australia so he struggles to spend time with them.

In his column for New! Magazine in February, Peter wrote: ‘I will be honest, though, the only thing that makes me sad about getting older is that my parents are too.

‘Although I thank God my parents are still here, I am seeing the rapid decline, especially in Mum. I find that part hard to deal with.

‘Like most people, I’m so close to my parents that it is really difficult to come to terms with.’

He lives in Surrey with wife Emily, who he married in 2015, and the pair have three children together.

In April they welcomed youngest daughter Arabella but also have Amelia, 10, and Theo, eight, who they keep away from the spotlight.

Pete is also a dad to Junior, 19, and Princess, 17, from his marriage to Katie Price.
