Peter Facinelli admits he was overcome with fear when he, his ex-wife, Jennie Garth, her husband, Dave Abrams, and their kids all gathered together in his home as the California wildfires raged on.

“The family, the kids, all were, kind of, sitting on the couch waiting to see if my house was going to get evacuated next,” he recalled exclusively to Page Six while promoting his new film, “The Unbreakable Boy,” in Los Angeles this week.

“It got scary for a minute but, luckily, we were able to all seek shelter there.”

Facinelli graciously took in Garth, whom he filed to divorce in 2012 after 11 years of marriage, when she was forced to flee her home due to the blazes in Pasadena, Calif., last month.

The “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum said in an emotional video on Instagram at the time, “peter and his family took us in and have been so kind.”

“i am deeply saddened for our city. and just feel numb,” she added. “our home was spared but so much to clean up and ready to get active to help our neighbors and friends and fellow Angelinos.”

Facinelli told us that although the fires were near his home, too, “lucky” his neighborhood was “OK” as the fires were much “closer” to his ex-wife’s property.

“Her and her husband came over,” the “Twilight” star added. “A lot of people lost their homes so it’s tough, but, thankfully, hers was OK and mine was OK.”

Facinelli, 51, told E! News that he doesn’t feel he needs a pat on the back for helping out Garth, 52, and their kids. The exes share three daughters: Luca, 27, Lola, 22, and Fiona, 18.

“When people are going through hard times, my door is always open,” he explained to the outlet.

“So, as much as it’s flattering for someone to say, ‘Hey, it was really noble of you to take your ex-wife and husband,’ I mean, I could never imagine saying no.”

The “Can’t Hardly Wait” star then admitted, “I love her. She’s the mother of my kids. I consider her a friend. I consider her husband a friend.”

When the former couple first split, Garth confessed that she was “very resistant” to calling it quits.

She told People at the time, “I didn’t want it to happen. It took me some time to come to peace with it.”

However, the “What I Like About You” alum found happiness again in her romance with Abrams, 43.

The pair tied the knot in 2015, but they sadly have no kids together after suffering two miscarriages.

Facinelli, for his part, is engaged to Lily Anne Harrison, with whom he welcomed a child in 2022.
