These Celebrity Exes Made a Big Impression on the Grammys Red Carpet Before They Split

The Grammy Awards has long been a PDA-filled event but with so many couples making their mark on the award show’s red carpet every year, some of our favorite celeb couples have now turned to celebrity exes.

So, going back through the Grammys of times gone by, there are many couples who walked the carpet together before calling it quits and leaving us nothing but red carpet photos to remember them by.

We’re sure it is a little awkward for these stars to look back on their Grammys appearances through the years and find photos of themselves loved up with an ex partner on the red carpet. But, instead of cringing away, we want to celebrate the couples of yesteryear who once made their impact at the Grammys.

From Jennifer Lopez’s appearances with several past beaus to surprising celebrity couples we forgot about, the Grammys red carpet is like a time capsule of past celebrity relationships. Seriously, who the heck remembers Brooke Shields and Michael Jackson arriving at the Grammys together? How did we forget that? (Chances are you forgot about a few more of these pairings as well!)

For couples like country music stars Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd, the Grammys was also a final red carpet appearance for some celebrity couples on this list who split in the months after attending the award show. And then there are couples who have been so on and off that the Grammys red carpet has been a hotbed for awkward ex encounters — we’re looking at you Cardi B and Offset!

Joe Jonas & Sophie Turner (2020)

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner had an adorable date night at the Grammys in 2020, donning edgy black outfits.

The outing came after the couple married in 2019 and while we didn’t know it at the time, Turner was pregnant with their first daughter while on the red carpet.

Willa was born in July 2020 and their second daughter, Delphine, was born in 2022.

The couple then shocked the world when they split in August 2023.
Maren Morris & Ryan Hurd (2023)

Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd’s 2023 Grammys appearance was their last time on the red carpet together before she filed for divorce in October, 2023.

The country music couple met in 2013 before marrying in 2018. Their son was born in 2020.

Cardi B and Offset shared plenty of PDA moments at the Grammys throughout their on-off relationship, which began in 2017.

This 2023 appearance was the beginning of the end for the couple who confirmed their split in December 2023.

The couple were married for 5 years and share two children, a daughter named Kulture and a son named Wave.
