Paddy McGuinness has been buoyed by encouragement from the entertainment world as he powers through his charity bike ride for Children In Need.
The presenter from Bolton is in the midst of a gruelling 300-mile trek from Wrexham AFC to Glasgow aboard a Raleigh Chopper, all in aid of the Ultra Endurance Cycle Challenge for BBC Children in Need.
Overwhelmed by emotion, the 51-year-old was moved to tears on Wednesday morning (November 13) during Zoe Ball's BBC Radio 2 show when she informed him that his tireless efforts had amassed over £1 million in charitable donations, with the figure soaring above £3 million in the following 24 hours.
Speaking to Zoe Ball again on Thursday morning, an exhausted but exhilarated Paddy shared: "We're just starting the day off and we're over £3 million... Wow, I keep saying this because it's the strangest thing, I'm absolutely in bits physically and emotionally but I will miss this, I will miss this positivity, this feeling of love that everyone's getting behind Children in Need."
Among the wave of support, messages from relatives, fans, and even Peter Kay reached out. Peter, starting off with a humorous verse from their classic The Road To Nowhere, gave his words of encouragement: "Hello Patrick, my old pal," reports Manchester Evening News.

"Keep peddling, keep thinking about all those children you're helping by riding that chopper. A chopper! What were you thinking? You didn't even have a chopper when we were at school. I love ya, I'm proud of you, son. You can do it. Get across that finish line and get yourself a nice garlic bread. This is the way to Glasgow-rilla!".
Busting into roaring laughter after receiving the pep talk, Paddy shared with Zoe: "He peps me up, that lad. That's brilliant. Aww, that's lovely, thank you. He sent it in - he'll probably invoice you for it, knowing him."
Today marks day four of Paddy's gruelling journey, traditionally the most challenging stretch. Starting from Ecclefechan, he sets off through Dumfriesshire towards Lanarkshire on a 64-mile ride over 12 hours, aiming to conclude today's efforts in Strathaven by dusk.
More than £3m has been collected so far through Paddy's efforts, as he gears up to reach Glasgow by tomorrow morning before returning to Salford to make his appearance on BBC One's Children in Need spectacular.

Paddy further commented on the challenge, stating: "Do you know, we've got all day to go, the people in Scotland are amazing already, the people all across the rest of the country are still donating and I want who's anyone in Scotland, tomorrow, and we are going to get to Glasgow, by hook or by crook, I'll drag the bike and walk if I have to.
"I want as many in Glasgow because together people, all involved in this, you will leave a better person, you'll feel that love. Come along tomorrow in Glasgow and let's go out in style!"
