Primark's 'chic' £10 bag looks 'just like' £4,210 designer Bottega Veneta version

The two bags are very similar in designer - but there's a huge price difference that could save shoppers thousands of pounds

Primark is stocking a bag that bears a striking resemblance to a designer alternative. Known for its affordable fashion and homeware, the high street giant may have just introduced a new crowd-pleaser.

The retailer's Paula Echevarría Woven Mini Tote looks similar to a style by designer brand Bottega Veneta, but at a fraction of the cost. Shoppers can snag the Primark version for £10, while the Bottega Veneta Mini Cabat Intreccio leather tote bag carries a price tag of £ 4,210 online.

The bags are similar, with a leather-look finish and a woven design, as well as a structured shape. They also both have detachable crossbody straps and feature gold-tone hardware.

However, the designer bag has slightly different handles, and is made with real leather, as well as a unique diagonal zip opening. The more expensive version also available in a wider variety of colours, including caramel, black, white and travertine.
