Prince William visits gallery to view homelessness exhibition
Prince William's new ITV documentary will take a peek behind the 'royal persona', and show how the future monarch aims to end homelessness with his new project - Homewards.
The two-part series will follow the Prince of Wales since the launch of his initiative last July, as well as listen to those who have experienced being homeless first hand.
A homeless service featured in the series, named The Passage, played a pivotal role during William's early childhood. Princess Diana introduced Prince William to the homeless shelter at the age of 11, and he is now continuing her legacy.
Chief Executive of The Passage Mick Clarke spoke exclusively with Express Online and opened up about why the Prince of Wales is working on this new project.
"Every single one of us, at different times in our lives experience a kind of in that homelessness, you know, times of bereavement, times of depression, times where we don't know where to turn to," he said.

"And what catches us in those moments are our friends, our family, our support networks.
"So the documentary shows that actually people need those support networks around them and by everybody working together, whether it's charities, whether it's government, it's a societal issue that needs a societal solution."
Before her death, Princess Diana was a patron of Centrepoint, which is another homeless charity that William works closely with. What's more, he became patron in 2005 and has continued to work on eradicating homelessness.
During one clip in the documentary, Prince William responded to questions about his privilege and ending homelessness, as he has several homes and more than £20m from the Duchy of Cornwall.

"Why else would I be here? If I'm not using this role properly to influence and help people where I can?" he said. "It's a big challenge. And I like a big challenge, I do like that, but I can't do it on my own."
The series will focus on six key locations: Aberdeen, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, Lambeth, Newport, Northern Ireland, and Sheffield.
Prince William has been the official patron of The Passage since 2019 and lauched the initiative alongside The Royal Foundation in June 2023.
