Real Housewives of New York Season 15, Episode 7 featured the pregnancy bombshell they’ve been teasing all season. Once one cast member revealed they were expecting, rumors started to swirl about who the baby’s father could be. It was the most exciting storyline we’ve had all season. I truly could not watch another second of these women arguing about Uber rides and cheese spreads, so I was happy to see some actual drama be introduced.
If you missed the messiness, don’t worry, we’ll get you caught up.
Here is everything you missed on RHONY Season 15, Episode 7 “Dodging Rumors.”
What happened on Season 15, Episode 7 of Real Housewives of New York?
The women engaged in some serious pigeon behavior in tonight’s episode. Erin told Brynn and Jessel that Rebecca was pregnant and her husband may not be the father. Brynn and Jessel spread the rumor to the group and most of NYC. The drama came to a head during a group dodgeball game when Jenna told Rebecca that everyone knew her secret. She confronted Erin and stormed out. Much better than last week’s offering!
Erin and Rebecca catch up over lunch
Tonight’s episode began with Erin filling in newbie Rebecca – after questioning her being both Jewish and a Scientologist in confessional – on what she missed after she left the Mezcalum party. You may remember that Rebecca left the party early to attend the accessory awards and Brynn took the opportunity to make another dig at Rebecca’s fashion line, stating, “I didn’t know Nordstrom Rack gave out awards.”
Erin told Rebecca about Brynn’s shady comment. Rebecca (like a true boss) brushed off the comment, saying she doesn’t need Brynn’s approval because she built a “$100 million company.”
I don’t understand Brynn’s problem with Rebecca. It feels like she’s made it her mission to haze the new girl but from the viewers’ perspective. Rebecca has been nothing but nice to her, so Brynn’s hostile attitude is confusing.
While Erin was bringing Rebecca up to speed, Ubah was busy preparing for a big life change. The model spent the afternoon shopping for colorful decor to fill her boyfriend’s home. She’s planning to move in with him but needs to bring a bit of her personal style with her, which I respect.
During this scene, Ubah revealed she’s been experiencing painful periods and is worried it will affect her ability to have a baby with Oliver. She’s has a doctor’s appointment booked, so we should know more soon…
Erin drops a bomb on Brynn and Jessel
Erin grabs (another?) lunch with Brynn and Jessel but the ladies do more gossiping than eating. Brynn brings up Ubah’s “basic b*tch” diss from the last episode and reveals that Jenna had some choice words about whether Jessel is basic or not. (These are the conversations the American people need to be having).
Brynn shared that Jenna said she needed to think about whether Jessel fit into the Basic B category. She added that Jenna said Jessel is “cute” using a condescending tone. The scene then cuts to Brynn’s actual conversation with Jenna and we learn Brynn completely misrepresented the conversation. Brynn was the instigator, trying to get her friend to call Jessel basic but she wouldn’t play ball. Jenna actually said on the phone call that Jessel was not basic.
I’m not sure what is going on with Brynn this season. She seems a little too aware of the cameras and that she is filming a TV show. We want drama, but we want it to feel authentic. It feels like she’s vying for a producer credit.
Brynn wasn’t the only one spilling some tea during lunch. Erin told the ladies that Rebecca is expecting and her husband may not be the father. She explained that she heard from a mutual friend that Rebecca had a crazy night and may have gotten pregnant by a mystery man. The women are shocked by this news and waste no time spreading the rumor around NYC. Jessel dishes to her mom and Brynn tells half her contact list.
The Real Housewives of New York women play dodgeball
The episode ends with the entire group meeting up for a friendly round of dodgeball. Brynn and Jessel tell everyone about the rumor before Rebecca arrives. Brynn says she reached out to mutual friends who told her Rebecca and her husband have an open relationship.
Once Rebecca arrives, the group participates in an awkward round of dodgeball where the group tries to avoid chucking balls at a pregnant woman, while simultaneously trying to hide that they know about the pregnancy.
After the game ends, Jenna pulls Rebecca aside to let her know the ladies have been gossiping about her … “situation.” Rebecca confronts Erin in front of everyone and storms off. Erin follows her out, profusely apologizing for spilling her secret. I expected the episode to end with a big fight between Erin and Rebecca but that is not what happens.
Once the two are out of earshot of the other ladies, Erin praises Rebecca for her acting skills and the two start laughing. Wait, is this a prank? Why are these women so obsessed with pranks! I’m not exactly sure what is true and what’s not at this point but it seems like Erin and Rebecca planned this whole thing. It’s yet another example of the women producing the show. I’m not sure how to feel. It feels like they resort to these petty disagreements and pranks, so they don’t have to share their real lives. And we’re growing a little tired of it.
Real Housewives of New York continues Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
