After being at odds with each other for years, Real Housewives of Potomac co-stars Dr. Wendy Osefo and Gizelle Bryant have finally made friends.
In RHOP Season 9, Episode 6, the ladies play a game of “F*ck, Marry, Kill,” using their castmates as the options. When it’s Wendy’s turn to pick, she surprises the other ladies by saying, “I would f*ck Gizelle,” raising a chorus of shocked yet amused shrieks.
In a production confessional, Dr. Wendy explains, “We’ve been at odds for so long, and there’s nothing better than makeup sex.”
Gizelle Bryant and Dr. Wendy Osefo are “bestie-ish”
Gizzy and Dr. Wendy made peace with each other at the beginning of the season. It was a long time coming. The two women have been at odds since the political commentator joined the cast in Season 5.
Gizelle threw a spanner in their budding friendship at the start of Season 6. When Wendy showed up for filming with a whole new look, the OG suggested that her “Mommy Makeover” was in response to rumors that Wendy’s husband had a lady friend. Eddie Osefo strongly denied any truth to those rumors.
Their relationship went further downhill when Gizelle failed to defend Wendy when Mia Thornton threw a drink in her face during Season 7. When Candiace Dillard Bassett was assaulted by then-castmate Monique Samuels in Season 5, nearly every cast member supported Candiace against Monique. But in this case, all we heard was crickets.
Reunion apologies and other attempts to reconcile have been only moderately successful. Until now. Maybe the loss of Gizzy’s RHOP ride-or-die, Robyn Dixon, has the OG looking for new friends.
Wendy and Gizelle had lunch, and now they’re cool
The former frenemies met for lunch in Episode 2, where they both agreed to put differences aside and start over. The pair worked out their issues and agreed to be better about communicating with each other.
In a confessional, Gizelle admitted, “This is the best conversation that me and Wendy have ever had. I thought that we were not going to be besties but just be better. We might be a little bestie-ish.”
“I don’t know if we’ll be besties,” Wendy laughed in her own confessional.
Still, the two have at least managed to tolerate each other since then, and now the latest episode shows a step forward.
But the other women? Are they as good with Wendy as Gizelle?
That’s questionable. When it was Ashley Darby’s turn at the game, she responded, “F*ck [Stacey] Rusch, marry [Keiarna] Stewart, and kill Osefo.”
It’s not all bad news for Wendy, though, as Ashley quickly added with a laugh, “But bring her back to life.”
