Actor Robert De Niro, who played a devout Philadelphia Eagles fan in “Silver Linings Playbook,” showed up Sunday at an Eagles tailgate party to root for Kamala Harris before Tuesday’s election. (Watch the video below.)
Of course, in the Oscar-winner’s world, cheers for Harris are often accompanied by jeers for Donald Trump.
De Niro did not disappoint outside Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field before the Eagles beat the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Joined by former Massachusetts senator and Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry in a segment shared by Harris’ Pennsylvania team, De Niro said of Trump: “His former chief of staff General Kelly reminded us that Trump admires Hitler and ridicules our American troops who died for us.”
“He mumbles, he stumbles and blubbers on, exhibiting clear signs of dementia. He promoted the Project 2025 agenda. That’s all in one week! All in one week!” De Niro said.
The “Godfather Part II” actor didn’t appear to call any audibles in the clip, reading from a page as he gave fans his pep talk.
“Election Day is upon us,” he said. “We can’t let up now. It’s time to make one final push and elect Vice President Harris and Democrats up and down the ballot.”
Trump has had the “Raging Bull” star in his face for a long time, even at his hush-money trial in May.

That month, De Niro said he was tired of calling Trump names. But last week in Philadelphia, he called the Republican presidential nominee a “piece of shit.”
Nobody said politicking was a clean sport.
