Ronda Rousey and Travis Browne Welcome Baby No. 2: ‘So Grateful She Made It’

4 hours ago 2

A rowdy arrival. Ronda Rousey announced she gave birth to her second child with husband Travis Browne amid the devastating firestorms in Los Angeles.

“Our little girl came into this world during a windstorm into a city on fire, so grateful she made it safe and sound,” the former UFC champ, 37, captioned a series of Instagram photos showing her newborn daughter on Thursday, January 9.

The couple named their daughter Liko’ula Pā’ūomahinakaipiha Browne, in a tribute to Travis’ Hawaiian heritage. The retired mixed martial artist’s full name is Travis Kuualiialoha Browne. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Ronda was seen in one photo holding her infant shortly after her birth. Another showed the baby’s big sister, La’akea Makalapuaokalanipo Browne, seeing her new sibling for the first time. The former WWE star included a full family photo including Travis, 42, and their two daughters.

The Furious 7 star announced her second pregnancy at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2024. She debuted her baby bump while discussing her graphic novel debut Expecting the Unexpected via a Kickstarter campaign with actor and panel host Dave Bautista.

“IT’S A GIRL! Happy I can finally shout it from the rooftops, but couldn’t resist revealing it at Comicon where I’d coincidentally be exactly as far along (four months) as my character ‘Mom’ is in my new graphic novel Expecting the Unexpected (So technically I finally got to cosplay at Comicon?),” Ronda wrote in a Facebook post on July 26, 2024.

While revealing the nickname for her eldest child, the former professional athlete said it was “a story I’ve been obsessing over for the last five years since first trying to get pregnant with Pō as a way process the anxiety that comes with accepting the task of guiding a an [sic] innocent child through a hostile world.”

Ronda called the graphic novel “a martial arts romantic comedy. In the story, Mom and Hapa (me and @travisbrownemma obviously lol) are two wanted assassins with an unwanted pregnancy who discover giving life is harder than taking it.” She went on to explain that would “love to keep writing these as our family continues to grow, but it’s only possible with the support of others,” and included a link to her Kickstarter campaign.

Travis and Ronda started dating in 2015. They got engaged two years later and married in August 2017 in his native Hawaii. The couple welcomed Pō, 3, in September 2021.

In July 2023, Ronda gushed about how “tough” her toddler was.

“Oh, she’s definitely going to be tough. She doesn’t respond to pain so much. She just fell and scraped her knee today and she was just like… she didn’t even cry. She just kind of grunts it out!” the 9-1-1 actress told People. “The world isn’t ready for this little girl.”

Ronda said about being a mom, “I’m just so much happier that I’m no longer ruminating over myself all day. I’m always thinking about her and focused on her and … I don’t know. Am I more considerate? I think the best part about it is that it’s mentally made me more healthy and made me stop beating myself up so much because I’m so concerned with taking care of her.”
