SEGA has launched a new account system that will grant you access to exclusive rewards in SEGA and ATLUS' games like Sonic, Persona, and Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Simply called SEGA Account, the platform will be free to use, and signing up to it will automatically subscribe you to the latest news from the company.
A SEGA account can be linked to various gaming platforms, so it's not exclusive to PC players. In some ways, it's similar to Ubisoft Connect, which also lets players redeem exclusive in-game rewards across platforms.
Those who sign up for a SEGA account and link to any platform where Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will be released will receive a special Kazuma Kiryu DLC outfit for Majima in the game.
The account must be created before March 7, 2025, to redeem the DLC item, and it may take until that day to receive the outfit as a redeemable code in your inbox.
SEGA account holders can also get in-game rewards for Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis. These include a Lobby Action "1089 "SEGA Logo", x300 Star Gems, x3 Esthetic Free Passes, x3 N-Color Change Passes, x100 C/Endymio pieces, and x500 Card Scratch Subsidies.
SEGA is also teasing an upcoming Sonic-related reward for signing up to the service. Expect more in-game rewards to follow, including ones for upcoming SEGA-published games like Persona 6, Crazy Taxi, Golden Axe, and more.
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii releases on February 20, 2025, on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
