Post-Apocalyptic City Builder All Will Fall Announced, Playtests Live Now

3 hours ago 1

Publisher tinyBuild and Sipho developer All Parts Connected have announced a new city-building game. All Will Fall is a post-apocalyptic city builder with physics-based destruction described as "Jenga with human lives at stake."

If you've ever played games like Cities: Skylines, you know the deal. The twist is that the game's physics-based system will ensure you have a hard time building the city of your dreams.

Players will act as the leader of a group of stranded survivors who must build a city in the middle of the ocean. The city's construction will be challenged by various natural and man-made phenomena like storms.

Of course, it's not just the buildings that you have to contend with. You'll also have to manage its residents, bringing Sims-like elements into the game. The residents will act out of their own volition, which may present challenges like coups and fighting over ration.

"With All Will Fall, we set out to create a unique mix of physics, simulation, and management mechanics for city builder and strategy fans," said Dominykas Kiauleikis and Danas Matusevičius, the creators of the game.

"We want the game to be accessible yet deep, allowing you to tinker with its many systems and 'smash some toys together.' Being a Lithuanian studio, we are also excited to bring a spotlight on our local game development scene. On behalf of our small yet passionate team, we hope you put All Will Fall on your city builder radar!"

The game's announcement and playtest reveal come at the perfect time, as Steam is currently hosting its real-time strategy fest, with discounts on many RTS games and city builders.

All Will Fall's open playtest will be available from today until January 31, 2025, on Steam.
