Sister Wives star Christine Brown’s son-in-law, Tony Padron, said that David Woolley, “reminds” him of her ex-husband, Kody Brown.

Christine, 52, gushed about then-boyfriend David, 60, while spending quality time with her children during the Sunday, October 20, episode. She then asked her kids what their “first impressions” of David were, and she was met with positive responses. While Christine’s youngest daughter, Truely Brown, said that David was “funny,” Mykelti Brown’s husband, Tony, admitted, “He reminds me of Kody.”

“Well he’s like from the same generation for sure,” Tony, 29, elaborated about the comparison. “[He said] all this boomer stuff that I had no idea what he was saying.”

Tony stood by his comment, which led Christine’s children to wonder if she and David were part of the same generation.

In a confessional, Christine said that her “mom’s a boomer” and asked the producers if David fell into the generation range. The mother of six then learned that David was considered a boomer because he was born between 1946 and 1964.

“So David’s a boomer and my mom’s a boomer,” Christine said while appearing visibly shocked. “David is eight years older than I am — eight.”

The episode then cut to Christine telling her kids that she teases David about his age “all the time.” Mykelti, 28, suggested that her mother “tease him about it more” if they were still an item when he turned 60, and Christine confidently guaranteed that she and David would still be together.

“I knew after our first date that this was something that I wanted to really invest in,” Christine said in a confessional. “My kids, it’s going to be too soon for them but it’s important for me to know how my kids feel about David. But however they feel is not going to end my relationship with David.”

After Christine announced her split from Kody, 55, in November 2021, she confirmed that she was dating David in February 2023. The couple got engaged in April of that year, and tied the knot six months later in October 2023.

While the couple has been married for over one year, fans are currently getting to watch the early stages of their love story play out on Sister Wives. During the October 20 episode, Christine revealed that she and David said that they loved each other soon after they met in person for the first time.

“We have said the magical words to each other but it only took us a week,” she revealed.

“I went through and met his family and then we sat down off to the side and he just pulled by chair next to him and he just pulled me into him and we just cuddled. And I thought, ‘Everything is crazy all around us.’ And I’m like, ‘Everything is going to be crazy all around us, but right here we’re gonna be calm,’” Christine recalled about the special moment. “And I legit felt calm for the first time in my life. I put my hand on his heart and it was racing so fast and my heart was racing so fast. It was like a breath. And I just realized I loved him then and I would do this for the rest of my life.”
