An eagle eyed Swiftie has spotted a giveaway detail on a recent party pic of Taylor Swift and now a rumour has started that the pop icon might be engaged to boyfriend Travis Kelce
Taylor Swift has sparked rumours that she could be engaged to boyfriend Travis Kelce after eagle-eyed fans noticed a giveaway detail in her recent party pics.
After examining the shots, one Swiftie, who goes by @lizpwoods on Instagram, pointed out that the singer's ring finger looked "blurred".
This sparked a huge theory that Taylor may have "edited out" an engagement ring so as not to reveal news that Kelce has finally popped the big question.
The rumour-sparking pics were taken at her recent 35th birthday bash last Wednesday with pal Brittany Mahomes — wife of NFL superstar and Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs teammate, Patrick Mahomes.
Photos showed the pop star enjoying a cocktail while posing with Brittany, their fellow Chiefs WAG Lyndsay Bell and Swift's close pal Ashley Avignone. "Hey. Um, guys? Do you feel like the pics with her hand are... blurred? Or am I hormonal?" asked @lizpwoods via Instagram Story on Wednesday.
The dedicated fan zoomed in on the pics and released the new versions so that her followers could have a clear look at the "blurred" ring finger.
The fan pointed out that the area where a ring would sit differed slightly in tone from the rest of Swift's finger.
Other fans waded in, with many choosing to optimistically believe that pop icon is now an engaged woman.
Meanwhile, others questioned why if she is actually engaged she wouldn't simply have taken off her engagement ring for the pics.
In a screenshot of an iMessage exchange shared to her Instagram Story, @lizpwoods speculated that Kelce may have popped the question during Swift's birthday celebration.
"Because wearing an engagement ring after getting engaged at a party celebrating you sounds like the most perfect night ever," she wrote.
Taylor hasn't said anything herself yet as to if she really is engaged or not. She has been dating Travis, a celebrated Chiefs tight end, since summer 2023 and they've faced repeat engagement rumours since going public with their romance.
A source once said: "It's not true and the recent erratic and unfounded speculation on this couple is just proving that media and overzealous fans do not know what's going on with them and shouldn't make wild assumptions based on zero facts."
