“The Bachelor” previews for the season reveal a tantalizing tidbit about Grant Ellis’ journey to find love. Before the final rose ceremony, Ellis admits to host Jesse Palmer that he still has not decided which woman will receive his final rose. Palmer had to put some pressure on Ellis to move things along, as the ladies were ready and waiting for the final rose ceremony.
Palmer talked to Us Weekly about the wild preview on January 17. “It’s real,” he insisted with a serious expression on his face. Palmer relayed that what viewers see happen was real. Ellis really couldn’t decide between his final two women and Palmer had to nudge him to make a pick.
Grant Ellis Struggled With His Decision
In the moment that Palmer referenced, Ellis admitted he did not know what his decision was going to be. Palmer told “The Bachelor” star they had his final two ladies ready to come to the final rose ceremony. In the preview, Palmer told Ellis he needed to know which woman to have arrive first.
Palmer told Us Weekly, “I don’t know if you could tell from watching that from my reaction, I was surprised.”
“That was something that I haven’t encountered yet as host in the the last four years on any of the franchises,” Palmer admitted.
He noted, “I think normally, I think our leads have a little bit more clarity, a lot more clarity heading into the final day and I really think that’s how conflicted Grant really was.”
Palmer acknowledged he could “appreciate” some of “why Grant was so conflicted.” He noted that the ladies cast for Ellis’ season are “remarkable” and “phenomenal,” and he acknowledged that decision day is always difficult for franchise leads.
“Absolutely, without giving away too much, that was authentic and it’s real and it’s not edited,” Palmer said of that sneak peek teaser.
Palmer also noted, “It got to a point in our conversation where it was so up in the air. I mean, we had to get it going. He’s got to make a decision and we have to have an ending.”
“The Bachelor” spoilers indicate that Ellis did make a decision, despite his struggles. According to spoiler king Reality Steve, Ellis did choose one of his final two ladies and they are together now.
