Mark Labbett, best known as The Beast from ITV's game show The Chase, has revealed his impressive 10 stone weight loss transformation.
The TV star posted a mirror selfie showcasing his slimmed-down frame in a suit, dramatically different from his previous appearance. Before rising to fame, Mark worked as a math teacher, weighing 29 stone. His weight loss journey gained momentum during the COVID-19 lockdown as he kept up with his energetic young child while nurseries were closed. Instead of opting for gastric band surgery - considered risky due to his type 2 diabetes - he overhauled his nutrition, cutting out sugar and carbs.
Mark, who previously appeared on Good Morning Britain, shut down speculation about weight loss surgery, instead attributing his transformation to diet and exercise.

I weighed myself the other day and I was just under 19 stone and at my heaviest, I was just a shade under 185 kilos - 29 stone. Essentially I've been carrying a sack of coal on my back all these years.”
Mark also shared on This Morning about his life before fame, describing himself as an "overweight maths teacher" rather than one of the country's most recognisable TV personalities.
At 57, the Devon-born quiz maestro shared details about the dramatic changes to his life that resulted in a substantial drop in his weight - earning him plenty of praise from admirers. One impressed Twitter user exclaimed, "Mark Labbett has lost some weight - looking good," while another commented, "Mark looks incredible after dropping the weight. Watching his interview he seems like such a lovely guy."

Speaking on Loose Women last year, he confessed: "I found at the end of the evening instead of going to the fridge for late night snacking, all I could do was collapse on the bed."
His trusty Labrador Retriever Baloo also contributed to his changes, as discussed on ITV's The Pet Show with Dermot O'Leary and Joanna Page. "I was walking him around the fields, taking me places... I think he's helped a lot, simply because I'm doing more activity."
Mark, who split from his long-term girlfriend Hayley Palmer last year, also explained that a low-sugar and low-carb diet were key to his "complete nutrition overhaul", highlighting that he slimmed down without any surgical help after being recommended against a gastric band due to his particular metabolism.
