Investigation Discovery will finish The Curious Case of Natalia Grace‘s trilogy in January with a “long-awaited conclusion” titled The Final Chapter.
The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: The Final Chapter will pick up just after the bombshell finale of Natalia Speaks, released in January 2024, when audiences learned that Natalia’s allegedly happy conclusion with her new family — Bishop Antwon Mans and his wife Cynthia — was all a lie. The episode ended with a phone call from Antwon alleging that “something ain’t right with Natalia” and that “this girl is tweakin’. I feel like she’s the enemy of the house. And she said to us we have held her hostage.”
“Our series was already finished and locked, but we instantly mobilized with our producers to ensure that this shocking development was included in our finale,” ID president Jason Sarlanis told The Hollywood Reporter at the time.
The Final Chapter‘s teaser trailer, released Monday, shows more clips from the phone call, including Antwon saying “she’s ready to go to hell with gasoline panties on,” as well as an array of other sources speaking about the Mans family, including one who calls them a “cult.”
Natalia Grace is a Ukranian-born American woman with a rare form of dwarfism who was adopted by the Barnett family in 2010. She was subsequently abandoned by the Barnetts in 2012 after the family claimed she had lied about her age and was actually a legal adult. The first installment of ID’s series, The Curious Case of Natalia Grace, aired in 2023. Natalia Speaks, released in 2024, saw Natalia offering more details on her side of the story, confronting Michael Barnett and the Mans adoption gone wrong. Per the press release, “The Final Chapter offers a conclusion to Natalia’s story as she strives for healing and resolution in her tumultuous journey filled with decades of unexpected twists and turns.”
ID will release The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: The Final Chapter in January 2025.
