The Valley’s Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick are going to be first-time parents!
Kristen has been open about her desire to have a baby and the struggles she and her fiancé Luke have had. However, they now have joyous news to share.
Kristen announced her pregnancy today PEOPLE. They shared a gorgeous photo of her embracing her baby bump with one hand and showcasing ultrasound photos in the other. She also shared a bit more about her pregnancy journey.
Kristen Doute was “relieved, overwhelmed, happy, excited and nervous” after successful fertility treatment
Kristen’s rep confirmed that Kristen and Luke, whose first major collab was their podcast, are expecting a baby! The Vanderpump Rules alum also expressed her and Luke’s joy and excitement.
Kristen, 41, began, “After our pregnancy loss last year, we decided to start trying in early 2024. I knew my age could be a factor in conceiving. So Luke and I discussed going for an extra push, a little help.”
She explained, “In late summer, we decided to meet with a fertility specialist to learn about our options and what could be the next step if we decided to go that route. The next month was a whirlwind. Getting educated on fertility, and eventually hormone shots and preparing my body for IUI (intrauterine insemination).”
Kristen says the two had an “incredible” experience with their procedure. She had success after just one IUI treatment!
Kristen revealed, “The two weeks following the IUI procedure felt like years. To get a correct outcome on a pregnancy test, 2 weeks time had to pass and I had to wait it out but in my heart I knew it had worked. I tested one day early and got the big PREGNANT result staring back at me.”
Baby Doute-Broderick is scheduled to hit The Valley this summer

Kristen shared, “I was relieved, overwhelmed, happy, excited and nervous. The second I told Luke, he wasn’t surprised, but was SO happy that IUI worked the first time (we were prepared that it may not). He was joyful and beyond excited, to say the least! Our due date is in June and we are really looking forward to expanding our little family and becoming parents!”

Season 1 of The Valley streams on Peacock. Season 2 is in post-production after filming wrapped this past summer. It’s expected to premiere in the spring.
