David Murphey, famed for his stint on TLC's 90 Day Fiance, has died aged 66.
The Las Vegas local had been battling health issues for some time, with his family breaking the sad news via his Instagram account.
"We are deeply saddened to announce that David Murphey, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away at home on December 11, 2024, after experiencing health issues over the last several years. He was 66 years old," read the caption of the post. "David was a veteran, small business owner, and software engineer," before adding that he "had recently retired from the Clark County Treasurer’s office in Nevada” after “having also worked for H&R Block and IGT."
His time on the popular TLC show was also acknowledged: "He was also well known for his time as a cast member on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. His time on the show allowed him to connect with viewers, see the world, and share his experiences with his thousands of followers on Instagram."
Relatives of the late star added that he is survived by his two sisters and his beloved cat, Gamera. They added that he: "always made an effort to adopt cats and give them a good loving home," before explaining: "choice for adopting was from The Animal Foundation in Las Vegas."

The pair met on the Eastern European dating app, Anastasia Date. David revealed on the show that he spent 5,000 hours talking to Lana and forked out $100,000 on the site to chat with her - however, their romance was not meant to be, reports the Mirror US.
David popped the question to Lana on his fifth visit and she said yes, but their relationship ended before starting the visa paperwork. Requesting privacy during this period, David's family provided a link for donations to the Animal Foundation in his memory, honouring his passion for animals.
His season four co-star, Stephanie Matto, expressed her grief, saying: "This is so sad." Season eight of 90 Day Fiance's Amira Lollysa paid tribute: "My friend, rest in peace," while Ella Johnson from season five of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days offered her condolences: "I am so sorry to see this he was a very wonderful man my deepest sympathy to his friends family and all who loved him."
