Speaker Mike Johnson was confronted by CNN's Jake Tapper on Sunday with remarks made by former President Donald Trump, after the Republican candidate insinuated legendary golfer Arnold Palmer was well-endowed.

During a Saturday rally in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, Palmer's hometown Trump said the late golfer, who passed away in 2016, was "all man" and "when he took showers with other pros, they came out of there and they said, 'Oh my God, that's unbelievable.'"

Trump stressed that he "had to say it," but that he had stopped short of saying anything more explicit out of respect for "highly sophisticated" women in the crowd.

Citing an article about Trump's anecdote, Tapper asked: "Is this really the closing message you want voters to hear from Donald Trump? Stories about Arnold Palmer's penis?"

Johnson did not answer this question directly, and instead pivoted to discussing Trump's rival for the presidency, Vice President Kamala Harris.
