1 month ago 12

Liam Payne has been the topic on the world's mind and lips for the past week after the tragic news of his death. The One Direction star, 31, passed away last week after falling from a hotel balcony and the news has devasted fans across the globe.

During an episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored, the controversial host welcomed a former X Factor star, Katie Waissel, and famous talent show judge, Howie Mandel. The two guests went head to head as they clashed on the topic on Tuesday night (October 23).

Singer-songwriter Katie, 38, blasted Howie for not putting any responsibility on talent shows after Liam was sho to fame after starring on X Factor in 2008 and again in 2010. Katie, who starred in the 2010 series alongside Liam, claimed Howie was “understandably diverting the attention” by only talking about mental health issues generally.

Katie said: “When it comes to participants on those types of shows myself, of which I was in 2010, there is a legal and moral duty of care, which should be upheld and adhered to.”

Howie interrupted: “Well, you know, you're focusing, and it's because of Liam, you're focusing on show business. The truth of the matter is, we all have a moral and legal duty to take care of those people that we come across in life, and whether you're working at a bank or…”

A third guest and comedian James Barr then added: “You are on the payroll!... The entertainment industry and the shows you work for are also responsible.”

However, Howie snapped: “I don’t agree with your other two guests at all. Here’s how I feel, we do take care of people’s mental health…” Before Katie shot back: “Do you want me to show you the receipts? Howie, I’ve got the receipts here!”

Howie added: “Nobody is on any of these shows against their own will… including this show now. So she likes camera time!” Katie clapped back: “Can you just stop interjecting for one second?"
