Renting your wardrobe this party season could help support displaced people over the cold winter months.
We’ve all stared at our wardrobes, wishing they were someone else's – a chic celebrity or a particularly stylish friend, perhaps – especially around party season when the pressure of dressing well seems to increase tenfold. And now, thanks to fashion rental sites, this wish has become a reality. Although, if you thought wardrobe renting was wonderful before, Hurr has just added an impressive selection of items to its roster, plucked straight from the closets of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Billie Piper, Gemma Chan and Lily James to name but a few. All in the name of charity, with 100% of the proceeds going to Choose Love (the UK-based non-governmental organisation providing humanitarian aid and advocacy for refugees across the world), 13 fashionable, famous faces are now listing items from their own wardrobes under the WardrobesForWomen collection. A ShuShu Tong dress from Nicola Coughlan, a blue Roland Mouret red carpet look from Gemma Chan and Clara Amfo’s BRIT Awards Richard Quinn frock are amongst some of the highlights available to rent from 4th November until February.

The funds raised from this collection will help Choose Love to support displaced people over the cold winter months, including providing warm coats for kids, blankets for families, hot food and safe shelter. Speaking of her involvement, Billie Piper told Grazia, ‘there’s only so much that can be done from pointing people towards things on Instagram or reminding people of what’s going on in the world, at some point it comes down to making money’. So we hope people rent these party frocks in aid of the good cause. Included in Piper’s picks, ‘there’s an outfit I wore to the BRITs two years ago, it’s fun, it’s super sheer, it’s very sexy,’ she shares. Plus, plenty of pieces from her 2007-2011 show Secret Diary of a Call Girl are also available to rent. ‘There’s a really great Vivienne Westwood dress, there’s a Margaret Howell jacket, there’s an Agent Provocateur corset, and there’s a really beautiful green Preen coat that I wore in one scene that a friend of mine got me. It was a very generous gift; it’s so beautiful, but I’m not going to wear it anytime soon, so it deserves a lot more life.’ The Hurr x Choose Love WardrobesForWomen collection is available to rent for four, eight, 16 and 30 days at Hurrcollective.com from 4th November until February.Rent the WardrobesForWomen for four days below:
