The Dancing With The Stars franchise is renowned for fostering fiery connections on and off the dancefloor, as is evident in the longstanding relationship between former pro dancer and new judge Karen Byrne and singer Jake Carter.
However former Miss Ireland Aishah Akorede has dismissed any suggestion she may find love on the show, revealing that she already has a partner in the form of her dashing boyfriend, Kamsi.
Speaking to RSVP Live, Aishah gushed over her handsome accountant boyfriend, who she’s been dating since June last year, but has been friends with for five years.

Speaking about whether she might be looking for love on the show, Aishah said that “cannot happen”.
“I am in a relationship with the most wonderful man in the whole wide world. He is an accountant and he is my world, he is my rock. He was there on set last week”.
Recalling how their relationship progressed from friendship to love, Aishah said: “He was my friend for ages and I knew he was conventionally attractive, but then one day I looked at him and I was like, ‘oh my God’, this guy is actually really fanciable. Then I thought, we can’t be friends anymore because I have a crush. Later on down the line he asked me to be his girlfriend”.
Aishah added that she has no concerns about Kamsi becoming envious of her dance moves with partner Robert Rowinski, saying “If you could see him, he’s so handsome and he’s so confident in himself. He’s literally the most important human being on this planet and I’m so grateful for him”.
Aishah and Kamsi even practice some of her challenging lifts at home, so she can grow more comfortable with the risky moves.
“When I first started doing the lifts it was so hard so I asked him to help me because I’ve never been someone who is comfortable with people touching me, just in general. So I’d sit on his shoulder and we’d walk around sometimes.
“When Robert and I first started doing lifts I would have bad dreams all the time and there was blood, a lot of sweat and there were tears. But now I’m so comfortable with the lifts and this weekend you’re going to see me in the air, flipping about”.
When she’s not ballroom dancing or studying for yet another masters degree, Aishah has been quietly battling an underlying health condition. Something that forces her to take breaks often, but not anything she will allow to hold her back.
“It’s a learning process for me. I’ve never done anything as physically demanding as this. I’m really lucky with my dance partner who is so understanding, he knows that I do need breaks and I take as many breaks as I need. Production as well, they all know about it so they’re really helpful.
“Everyone is really supportive, but it has affected me a good bit so far. I made a plan with my doctor and I see him more often than I usually would to make sure that I will be good going forward”.
