Andy Cohen Reacts to Donald Trump’s Presidential Election Win: ‘We Will Persist’

Around half of the United States woke up to unwelcome news about the 2024 Presidential Election. The other half were probably ecstatic. Bravo kingpin Andy Cohen was among those feeling defeated. But instead of wallowing, he chose to share a message of hope for the future, despite Donald Trump’s big win.

Andy Cohen isn’t giving up after Donald Trump’s win in the presidential election 2024

Followers immediately asked Andy what his take on the election outcome was. Andy, who wore a grey sweatshirt, looked tired as he pondered his answer momentarily. In the background, you could hear Ben claim, “Donald Duck wins.” And to many, that answer felt spot on.

Andy answered, “He did. He did. But we love our country, don’t we?” Ben then gave a thumbs up to the camera. Andy continued, “We love our country. Yes, we do … We will persist. We will move forward.” The Bravo host captioned his video with “God Bless America!” Andy has been proud to support the Democratic nominee, Kamala Harris.

In a recent post, he explained why he felt the Vice President was the clear choice. He wrote: “I am voting for Kamala Harris because. I believe women should have jurisdiction over their bodies. As a gay American dad who had kids through IVF, the Supreme Court is on the ballot and I don’t want it filled with (more) right-wing extremists who will take away my rights.”

The father of two added, “I believe in sensible gun control. I believe in building the middle class, and raising the minimum wage. She is mentally fit to serve as Commander in Chief and not too old for the job. America should never cozy up to dictators. She will be a President for all Americans. I believe January 6 was one of the darkest days in our history, the result of a weak man’s fragile ego.  I don’t want to go back!”

For now, Andy will have to wait another four years to have his voice heard.
