Annie Kilner was reported to the police in January four years after a leaked text message said she wanted Lauryn Goodman "dead" – but a source has branded the move "ridiculous" and police have confirmed no action will be taken.

Lauryn, who shares two children with Manchester City FC ace Kyle Walker, contacted the police in January to have the threat made by Annie, four years ago, on record. In a text message exchange with Rebekah Vardy, Annie said that she wished Lauryn were "dead" and called her s "s**g" during a furious rant.

In Janaury, Lauryn officially filed the "threat" to the police should "anything happen to her and her two children". A source confirmed to the Mirror that the report was made this year, four years after the text messages.

It comes after Annie filed for divorce from Kyle, who she met as a teenager in their hometown of Sheffield, South Yorks. The pair had been rocked by his infidelities after he fathered a son, Cairo, four, with Goodman during a brief fling.

A source has since disclosed that Annie "obviously" meant no malice and "didn't pose a threat" to Lauryn. Speaking to the Mirror, our source in the Cheshire WAG scene said that it's "ridiculous" that the messages are being brought up again. They added: "As previously mentioned, the conversation was between Annie and Becky who were both disgusted by Lauryn's behaviour and ranted to each other in a private space. There was no intent, most women could understand what Annie had gone through. What we find more insane is these messages were sent in 2020, Lauryn didn't think when she reported it to the police in 2024. The report came after Lauryn and Annie spoke on the phone and Lauryn had tried to befriend her."

Annie, however, was not spoken to by the police. Speaking to The Sun, a source said said: "Friends had told Lauryn about the 'I want her dead' threat so she decided to put it on record with the police in case anything happened with her and her two children." But while she's been encouraged by friends to take the case further, Lauryn, who has spoken openly about her interactions with Kyle is said to have decided against taking this further "because she actually thinks Annie has been through enough."

The Walker family were shocked once again on December 27, 2023, when Lauryn texted Annie revealing that after a brief fling in London, he was also the father of her daughter, Kinara, one. But Cheshire Police told Lauryn in January that they considered the message to be a "conditional threat" and should she want to pursue further action against Annie, should would need to do so through the civil courts.

The Mirror has approached Lauryn and Annie's representatives and Cheshire Police for comment.
