Brits are set to spend a staggering 97 million hours scouring the internet for the best Black Friday deals, a new survey has revealed.
A poll of 2,000 adults found that 62% of respondents can't resist a good bargain, with over a quarter making a list of the items they want to snap up.
To ensure they get the best price, shoppers will research an average of four different websites before making a purchase, while 22% plan to set up multiple email addresses to receive more than one discount code.
The average shopper will have five tabs open at once, which can put a strain on devices - 27% have experienced a device crash in previous years.
The research, commissioned by HONOR to mark the launch of its Magic V3 phone, found that a quarter of Black Friday shoppers use price comparison sites to find the best deals.
Some 15% of shoppers have even stayed up until midnight to snag a sale or promotion, while 11% use multiple devices to maximise their chances of getting a good deal.
A spokesperson for HONOR said: "Brits love a bargain and Black Friday is the perfect opportunity for savvy shoppers to bag a good deal and kick-start their Christmas shopping."
"The research shows people will go to great lengths to ensure they are going away with the best offer possible."
"The key is to plan ahead and make the most of what's on offer - whether you're hunting for the latest tech, fashion, or home essentials."
Additionally, a frugal 39% of shoppers prepare for the Black Friday season to make their purchases. Many are willing to cut back on luxuries such as dining out, takeaway coffees, and subscription services in order to save for a major purchase.
The spokesperson for HONOR added: "As Black Friday approaches, we want to help simplify the shopping experience for everyone."
"From exclusive online previews, early access to deals, and the sheer volume of discounts on offer, it can be a stressful time that overloads the mind."
"Our goal is to take the stress out of Black Friday shopping so everyone can enjoy the savings without the hassle by using just one easy device."
