Bob Dylan's latest tour launch earlier this month has taken Liverpool by storm, leaving swathes of the audience "in tears".
However, some fans critiqued the low visibility of the 83 year old legend during his Rough and Rowdy Ways gig at the M&S Bank Arena; opinions were divided.
While some spectators were in awe of the icon who brought them classics like All Along the Watchtower and Desolation Row, others were left bitterly disappointed, feeling the concert failed to meet their high expectations.
Fans who were spellbound by the show enthused it "blew my mind", surprised by the quality of the performance. Nonetheless, a faction of attendees who were unimpressed with Dylan's stint expressed their discontent, much to the irritation of those absorbed in the music.
An emotional fan posted after attending the event: "Bob Dylan in Liverpool was amazing and beautiful. Why am I in my hotel room crying about seeing an 83-year-old play a harmonica. God damn."
Echoing this sentiment, another added fervently: "I welled up at a few points in it, genuinely unbelievable vocals from a man his age", reports the Mirror.
Yet another chimed in saying: "I was there too, harmonica playing blew my mind, wasn't expecting it."
Although, the joy for some was dampened by negative reviews from those who didnt share the same enthusiasm.
Fans of the legendary Bob Dylan were left with mixed feelings after a gig in Liverpool, venting their frustrations and experiences online.
One attendee lamented, "A lot of sublime moments were wrecked for me," pinpointing the restless crowd, incessant talking, and preoccupation with food and beer, before expressing a preference for a more intimate setting in Wolverhampton.

Criticism didn't stop there, as others took issue with the inadequate lighting at the venue, stating the four measly bulbs hardly sufficed.
Displeasure poured out on social media too, with a fan addressing Bob Dylan on Twitter /X to say: "Why no lighting at Liverpool? ? Most disappointing gig in more than 50 years. Came to see the legendary Bob Dylan but never saw him!"
The tweet sparked a debate as another user injected a different perspective, replying: "Didn't you go to hear them?" while one bewildered concertgoer noted, "It was so dark! I thought they'd put a spotlight in him or something. Couldn't bloody see him!".
The phone lock controversy added an extra layer of discontent as Yondr pouches were employed to keep phones out of sight, although some crafty attendees bypassed this measure.
A Twitter user recollected, "The Bob Dylan gig in Liverpool tonight was a weird experience. Didn't mind having my phone locked away but the stage lighting was so dark you could barely make anyone out. Music was good though so guess that's the main thing."

Yet even amidst the praise, they recounted how someone in front spent the concert engrossed in scrolling Facebook.
This prompted shock and bewilderment from another fan who responded: "Unbelievable, you'd wonder why people spend good money to go to a concert and look at Facebook or get so wasted they don't remember the gig the next day."
